Stoudt’s Brewing Co. – Stoudt’s Triple

Pours a hazy orangish amber in color with a small white head that fades to a very thin covering over the beer.  No lacing.  Aroma is strong of Belgian yeast, spices (cloves, nutmeg) and a light fruitiness.  Flavor is very fruity… apples, melon… and slightly sweet.  Alcohol is apparent, but muted by the intense fruity flavors and maltiness. Finish is slightly bitter and lingering.  I am impressed… a quite decent tripel.  This is the first of Stoudt’s for me and I look forward to more from this brewer.
